Moodubidire: Language is not merely a medium that gives voice to human emotions; it is also a bridge that connects one heart to another. Hindi plays a significant role as a bond of harmony among diverse cultures, traditions, customs and languages, said Flavia Paul, Lecturer in Hindi at SDM College, Ujire, who was the resource person at the programme. Speaking at the Hindi Utsav held at Excellent Educational Institution, she said that Hindi has its own influence and significance not only in India but also in various parts of the world. She said it is a matter of pride that, in the era of globalization, Hindi is expanding its reach across different parts of the world. Highlighting the richness of Hindi literature, she said that the dohas of Saint Kabir and Goswami Tulsidas are not merely poetic verses, but profound philosophies of life containing messages of truth, human values, ethics and spiritual awareness. These dohas, which convey deep meanings through simple words, can serve as guiding lights for today's younger generation as well, she added. Presiding over the programme, Rashmitha Jain, Secretary of the institution, said that Hindi is indispensable and essential in sectors such as postal services, telecommunication, banking and defence services. She added that Hindi is a language that touches the heart. Divyalakshmi Rai, Lecturer in Hindi at Excellent College, introduced the guest and delivered the introductory remarks, setting the tone for the programme. Vice-Principal Sunad Raj Jain, Headmaster Shivaprasad and Shubha were present and conveyed their best wishes for the programme. The students' presentations were the special attraction of the event. They enthralled the audience with Qawwali, Hindi songs, ghazals and captivating Hindi dance performances. Through the harmonious blend of music, literature and dance, the students showcased the diverse beauty of the Hindi language. Their artistic performances received appreciation from the audience. Hitharth Kadaba compered the programme. Keerthan Kumar welcomed the gathering, while Anusha proposed the vote of thanks. Hindi teachers Yarada Soumya and Ramya were also present. The programme emerged as a meaningful initiative to nurture in students a love for language, an affinity for literature and an appreciation of the rich diversity of Indian culture.
