Postal stamp release ceremony organized by the Indian Postal Department and sponsored by Excellent Group of Educational Institutions, Moodubidire.

A historic event marking the release of a commemorative postage stamp in honor of Queen Chennabhairadevi, who ruled for an impressive 54 years from 1552 to 1606—the longest reign by a woman in Indian history—was held on July 24, 2025, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The event was organized by the Department of Posts, Government of India, and was graced by the Honorable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, who officially released the stamp. In her address, the President paid rich tributes to Rani Chennabhairadevi’s contributions, recalling her efforts in safeguarding the kingdom, her deep sense of social responsibility, secular outlook, and progressive policies that aimed at uplifting the oppressed. She lauded the Indian Postal Department and the sponsors of the event, Excellent Group of Educational Institutions, Moodubidire, for their remarkable initiative. The program was supported and guided by Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi, and the sponsor of stamp Shri Yuvaraja Jain, President of Excellent Group of Educational Institutions, Moodubidire, Union Cabinet Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, as well as the Minister of New and Renewable Energy in the Government of India, Sri Prahlad Joshi . Mrs. Rashmita Jain, Secretary of Excellent Group of Educational Institutions, in her introductory speech, highlighted the queen’s legacy of courage, governance, and service to society. She said that the commemorative stamp and the entire event had been sponsored by the Excellent Education Foundation, Moodubidire.
